Tutorial: How To Dump Your UMD's
This guide will show you how to backup your PSP UMD Disc's to ISO format, quick and simple.
So you can store several games on your PSP's Memorystick at once. And you can also compress them afterwards, to fit even more on your Memorystick.
- This method is using Boosters "USB Special System Storage" application. It enabled your pc to read the contents of a umd, so you can just drag and drop the iso to your desktop. It only takes like 10 mins if at all.
- With this, i cannot see why anyone would even try use another dumper. Its just a waste of time.
- Important: Have "Auto Sleep" disabled, so psp does not shutdown whilst dumping.
- Important: Do not mess around with any of the other options if you are a rookie as editing flash.
Files Needed, "USB Special System Storage" by Booster: Download Here
Step 1: Install its USB Special System Storage to memorystick like any other homebrew, put in the GAME folder for a 1.5 user or the GAME150 folder for an oe user.
Step 2: Open USBsss up from game menu, you will be presented by a menu with five options, each of which will give you access to UMD or the rest of the flash through usb. We want access to umd, so select the first one by pressing O(Virtual FAT16 . UMD ISO-9300) and make sure usb is connected to psp.
Step 3: After you pressed O, a "Removable Disk" window will pop up on your pc. Look at it and you will see your UMD located in there named (UMD9660.ISO). Just Drag and Drop it to your desktop. It will then proceed on dumping the umd to your desktop. It should only take about 10 minutes.
Step 4: Once its stopped tranferring the UMD to the desktop its finished, just press X in USBsss to disconnect the usb, then shut-down that app. And also you can rename your new backup on the desktop to the name of the game. Then you can put it in your archive of iso's or put it in your memorystick and play it using 3.xx oe or Devhook
