Tutorial: How To Use Custom XMB's Theme's Without Flashing by talairina
Introduction:
About C-XMB (Custom XMB) is an amazing Application which allows you use a custom
XMB without flashing any files to flash0. This is a very useful application for
people who don't want to take the risk of flashing it flash0. This plugin/PRX is
currently in beta stages there have only been three releases of this plugin. The
creater of this plugin/PRX has also made SCEP-XMB he is called poisonhzjk. This
plugin can be flashed to the PSP or be used as a plugin.
You may notice I said it can be flashed or run as plugin. This tutorial will
ONLY cover using it as a plugin. Im not a 'flashing' expert nor would I risk
flashing XMB changes. If you want to flash it then Im afraid youll need to find
another tutorial.

Requirements:
- A PSP
- PSP 3.30OE-A' or 3.40 OE-A (Works on any OE firmware, but these are recommended)

- WinRar (Download)
How To Install:
1). Extract the file CXMBv1.zip.
2). Enter the folder CXMBv1(the folder).
3). There will be a folder "TM".
4). Copy "TM" and paste it to the Root of the
PSP's Memory Stick.
5). If your psp has a seplugins folder
created then go to 5a other wise goto 5b.
5a). Now go to seplugins(on your PSP's root).
Open vsh.txt and add "ms0:/TM/cxmb.prx".
5b). Create a folder called 'seplugins' and
copy+paste the vsh.txt in to it.
6). Reboot your PSP and hold R for recovery
menu.
7). Scroll down to Plugins and enable cxmb.prx
[VSH].
8). Reboot the PSP again and you've now got a
custom XMB.
Now place your custom XMB files in ms0:/TM/vsh/resource/*here* and
ms0:/TM/font/*here*.
F.A.Q. :
Q). I always get BSoDs (Blue Screen of Death)
at start up.
A). This only happens if you haven't inserted
your Memory Stick while you are using it as a plugin.
Known Issues:
1). Custom fonts might not displaying some of
the time (Original fonts appear instead of custom). This only happens when you
do not have all the files in ms0:/TM/font/*here* you need all ltn0.pgf to
ltn6.pgf.
2). The font changes to default in game.
3). Sometimes it doesn't change your font to
your original font even if you have disabled the plugin in Recovery Mode.
4). The Sony boot logo will always be active
even if you have it disabled via Recovery.
